Hi and thanks for looking at my blog!

My name is Nick Davey and this page introduces myself and my interests to anyone who either arrived here to learn more about Customer Management or hit the wrong search string in Google!

I am a 40 something living near Brisbane in SouthEast Queensland, Australia.

I spent the first 42 years of my life in England but travelled extensively in my career, spending time in the US, Europe and South Africa on various CRM initiatives.

I worked in Sales and Marketing for 15 years before taking an Executive MBA at Bath University, graduating in 1998. My thesis was on Managing Customer Relationships to increase profitability in the Pharmaceutical Industry. I didn’t know it at the time but this was my ticket into the world of CRM. I was headhunted by a colleague on the MBA course into Oracle where I gained CRM Consulting expertise. For the majority of the time since 2001, I have been an independant CRM Specialist, focussing on CRM Strategy and helping organisations deliver and get the best out of their CRM Projects. I moved to Australia in 2007 and see opportunities to improve Customer Service and the Customer Experience everywhere I go!

I am remarried having 4 children in the UK from my first marriage. My wife, Tina, and I live in a “Bush retreat” midway between The Gold Coast and Brisbane where we both escape from the city life in our little piece of heaven.

My hobbies are Scuba Diving, Fishing, Most Sports, Wildlife Rehabilitation and Flying (I am an Amateur Pilot!).
